Rainbow Rice, Unicorn Bags and The Unmumsy Mum #Littleloves

What a glorious weekend we had. The sun had me reaching for the sun cream for the first time this year. Olivia and I are so fair that it doesn’t take much for us to burn. After a pretty chilled weekend Monday was soon up on us. This week has seen busy days at work and evenings crammed with wedding prep but we have still managed to fit in lots. So without me rambling on anymore here are this weeks little loves.

Read

Time to read got off to a good start this week but soon took a nose dive. On Sunday i enjoyed and hour in the garden with my head in The Unmumsy Mum but since then progress has been slow. I am only about 70 pages from the end now though so I’m sure that i will be able to finish it over the bank holiday weekend.

Watched

This week has been all about the return of Prison Break. I have been eagerly anticipating the spin release of the spin off series and i was not disappointed. I cant wait to see how the series unfolds.

Another serious that we are into at the moment is Lethal Weapon. When Adam first started watching it last week i thought it was a film. We were soon totally engrossed and are looking forward to the next episode tonight.

Made

I would be Easter without Easter Nests. Olivia seemed to think that the hole bag of mini eggs should be used. Minus the couple that she ate all of the ones left ended up on top of the last nest.

Olivia also helped me to make some rainbow rice earlier on in the week. This is ready for an activity that i have planned for at the weekend. It’s super easy to make.

This week i have also been making Pinterest friendly pictures. It took me ages to master Canva but i got there in the end. Now i just need to figure out rich pins.

Heard

‘More more more’ Olivia’s repeated protests for more curry sauce. We may have treated ourselves to a chippy this week. Which Olivia was allowed to stay up a bit later and indulge with us. When she first asked for some curry sauce i thought she would soon be saying ‘no’. But she loved it. So much so the stop the repeating ‘more’ every two seconds i just gave her the pot.

Wore

Jumpsuits are my go to item at the moment. I love this one that i got in Asda a couple of years ago. Its such a bold print which i think is perfect for the time of year.

Olivia has also been rocking her unicorn bag this week. I love this photo of her before the nursery run the other day. She was in such a great mood. We were really organised for our day so actually had time for a play before having to leave the house. She was being her usual cheeky self and insisted on taking her bag and hat to nursery with her.

Lastly

This weekend I have lots of family fun planned, we may even get in a trip to the beach if the weather allows. We also want to get some more gardening done in preparation of the get together we are having for Olivia’s and Adam’s Birthday at the beginning of May.

  1. Wow, Olivia’s dress and bag are just so sweet, what a little poppet she is. I must read the Unmumsy Mum, I’ve a few books waiting to be read but it sounds perfect for summer holiday reading around the pool. Isn’t it funny about what strong flavours children like, my son is such a fussy eater but loves pepperoni.
