I can’t believe that we are at the end of January already. We have had a great month getting lots of use out of all the goodies that we got for Christmas. Although, after the festive period January is always a pretty blue time, especially getting back into the working routine.
There have however been plenty of January favourites to help brighten up the month and suppress those January blues.
Lets start with my skin care favourites….
I always start out the year so well, ensuring that I cleanse, tone and moisturise every morning and evening. Hopefully this year I can see it through until the end. For Christmas my mum got me a Spa Find set. I just love these products, I use the………… products. My skin feels so clean and refreshed after using them and I get hardly any breakouts.
Now for my January make-up favourites….
I converted to Estee Lauder last year and still really love it. This time around I got a slightly lighter shade ‘Ecru’ and I am loving it. It really does stay in place but has a nice light feel.
Then there’s Maybeline Baby Lips. I love these lip balms, I think I have them in every colour. They are perfect for work instead of lipstick and really do stop my lips from getting dry. They are also a big hit with the toddler who I have to hide them from.
Last but not least my other January Favourites….
I have heard so many good things about the Lush Snow Fairy shower gel so snapped some in the Lush January sale. I managed to get my hands on two of the smaller bottles and one of them is nearly finished already. I also have a collection of Lush bath bombs at the moment which I’m slowly making my way through. Have you even had a bath if you didn’t use a bath bomb?
This year i have re-found my passion for reading. Out of the three books that I have made my way through this month my favourite has been The Olivia Tree. that I haven’t yet actually finished. Fearne Cotton’s Happy is also a great read that I have been dipping in and out of.
Now on to Olivia’s January Favourites…
We were kindly gifted these Pasta Kidz books this month and they have fast become two of Olivia’s favourite books. She loves repeating the words and looking at the colourful illustrations.
With Olivia constantly having coughs and colds during the colder months I have started to give her vitamins again. She absolutely loves these Bassets chewy vitamins, that I can remember having as a child, she seems to think that they are sweets and would eat the whole lot in one go if she could.
Last on the list are her Orchard Toys games. She has always love these but the ones we got her for Christmas have made a real impression. She especially enjoys playing smelly wellies at the moment.
So there you have it our favourite items from January. Have you come across any new products that you are loving?
