Wedding planning, Mike and Dave and pop up pirate #littleloves

This week has gone by in a blur. We have got lots of odd jobs done at home that we keep putting off and are finally getting back into the working full time routine after the festive period. Im looking forward to a weekend in Devon seeing family and hopefully having a bit of chill time, if thats possible with a toddler.

Here are my little loves from the last week…

I really haven’t done as much reading as i wanted this week. Im only just half way through my sisters keeper and i haven’t read many blog posts either. There just aren’t enough hours in a day.

I already have my next book lined up ready after a friend lent me their copy of me before you. I have heard so many good things about this book i can’t wait to get stuck in. me-before-you-quad.jpg

On Tuesday night i found myself glued to Mike and Dave. Adam always puts on a film when we go to bed, this is usually when i read. I don’t normally pay any attention but Mike and Dave was a great film full of laughs.

‘Pop’ and ‘wee wee’ have been very popular words this week. At the beginning of the week we brought Olivia a potty to start getting used to sitting on. She often wake up with a dry nappy and says ‘pooh’ or ‘wee wee’ when she wants her nappy changed. I want her to start using the potty/toilet in her own time, i’m defiantly not rushing into anything but definitely think its worth getting her to understand what it is used for.

‘Pop’ otherwise known at Pop up Pirate is Olivia’s favourite game at the moment. She often asks to play it just as she is going to bed, as she likes to try and buy herself some time.

This week have also been listening to lots of different songs trying to decide on ones for our wedding. I think we may finally be getting there.

This week i have either been in my work clothes or work out gear. So not anything exciting to report here. I really need to update my workout clothes for something more colourful rather than just plain black.

Im back doing slimming world so this week i have been busy cooking lots of meals from scratch. My favourite was a Syn free chicken curry. Its so simple to make and is full of flavour and speed. img_5553

After a walk around one of the local parks exploring and getting some fresh air Olivia used the leaves we had collected to make some lovely pictures.

Our flights to Cyprus for our wedding are now booked and we both have our wedding rings. Things are really starting to come together now but it still doesn’t really seem real but at the same time we are both starting to get excited.

  3. Me Before You is a brilliant book – get the tissues ready though! Good luck with the potty training, sounds like your little one is ready though. Rather jealous of you getting married in Cyprus, I booked loads there when I was a travel agent and it looks so beautiful for a wedding. Have a great weekend x

  4. We have Pop Up Pirate too, I actually quite like playing it. Well, it’s better than fighting dinosaurs which is my little boys other favourite game. Sounds like the wedding plans are really coming along, very exciting! xx #LittleLoves

  5. Good luck with the potty training- it feels SO good once it’s done! And have fun with your wedding plans too, we got married June 2015 and whilst it could be stressful organising at times (especially with kids!) it was also a lot of fun- I think I could quite enjoy planning one again! #LittleLoves
