Little Loves

Easter Nests, Wedding Parcels and Spotify #littleloves

We had a fab Easter weekend baking, playing in the garden and having adventures. We definitely made the most of the time off work. But Tuesday was soon up on us and work was calling. Much to Olivia’s dismay. She has been so upset going to nursery this week which has really pulled on my heart strings. The weekend is upon us once again but first to reflect on our Little Loves from the week just gone.

I finished the Unmumsy mum at the start of the week and now can’t wait to read her second her book. But in the mean time i have started to read Get Your Sh*t Together by Sarah Knight. It takes a little while to get your head around all swearing. I now just over a hundred pages in and everything she says does make a lot of sense.

Olivia’s Dear Zoo book has made an appearance again this week. She loves lifting the flaps on this book and listening to the different animal sounds. She knows which button needs to be pressed on each page but will often be cheeky and press the wrong on followed by saying ‘no’.

I’ve hardly watched any TV this week. If i haven’t been working or blogging we have been exercising. Although i have watched several youtube videos on icing cakes. I have set myself the challenge of making Olivia’s 2nd birthday cake. With only a couple of weeks to go i am now however wondering if i have bitten off more than i can chew.

I downloaded the spotify app on our firestick this week so me and Olivia have been listening to different playlists each morning as we get ready. Well as we dance around the bedroom like crazy people. Our favourite playlist is the Hot Hits Uk.

Work clothes and workout clothes for me. So nothing exciting.

Easter weekend we made not one but lots of Easter nests. The first lot disappeared very quickly but we are still making our way through the second batch. Olivia and I also made some little fairy cakes together. She loves to have one each day when we get home from nursery.

All of the gifts and bits that we, or should I say I, have ordered for our wedding have started to arrive. As well as Olivia’s birthday presents. Every day I seem to have at least one parcel come. Its all very exciting. Everything is finally falling into place and I’m actually quite relaxed. At the moment any way, lets just hope it stays that way.

  1. I need to get around to finishing the Unmumsy Mum book – I love it! Sounds like you had a lovely Easter – we need more long bank holiday weekends 🙂 #LittleLoves

  2. Aww I remember my little ones was absolutely obsessed with Dear Zoo when he was about Olivia’s age. Love that book – although I’m kinda glad I don’t have to read it 20 times a day anymore. I didn’t realise Sarah Knight had written another book, I still haven’t read her first one! Love the rose gold on your header etc – is it new, or was I being completely blind before? Have a great weekend x
