Today we spend our last day all together (nana, grandad, Adam, Olivia and I) in Babbacombe, visiting the model Village and enjoying High Tea. I can remember visiting the Model Village myself when i was a child so when Olivia’s grandparents suggested it i thought it was a great idea. We spent an hour looking at all of the different models and ensuring that Olivia didn’t sneak off to play with any of them.
One of my favourites was the The Tiny British Cake-Off tent, it had even been updated so that the cars displayed signs for channel 4 and had a model of this year winner, Candice. Another of my favourites, which i unfortunately didn’t get a picture of, was the model of Paignton Zoo. The Zoo model is quite a big one displaying lots of the different animals and is very realistic.
While we were there Adam and I even played the crazy golf, which saw Adam being victorious. There where only 5 different holes but it was a great chance to warm up a bit in the shattered area.
Although she took some persuading that the models weren’t there to be played with I think Olivia enjoyed looking at them all. Especially the train with Santa on the back and peering over the bridge to see the fish.
It was a pretty chilly day but we still managed a walk along the downs before heading to the Babbacombe Bay Hotel for High Tea. High Tea at Babbacombe Bay Hotel never fails to impress, they often do offers on Groupon. Sandwiches, cake and scones with your choice of hot drink and a glass or Prosecco, what is not to love?
